no.. the fun doesn't even begin until you're into armor with an armor tanker. As stated above, use armor hardners and armor repairers on that ship, forget about the shields.

RAID 0+1 for DB's fellas, 5 and 6 are way too slow for writes. And SATA drives for a DB server are just fine.
